Lucie Landová of LINET discusses the Manager of the Year 2024 award, sustainable leadership, innovation in MedTech, and supporting women’s professional growth.

How Does Receiving the Manager of the Year Award Impact You, and How Can You Inspire Other Women in Business?
Lucie Landová, Head of Project & Regulatory at LINET, winner of the Manager of the Year 2024 competition in the Sustainable Development category, organised by the Czech Management Association.
The Manager of the Year award is a great honour for me and a deeply personal moment. I view it as recognition of the long-term work I do with dedication and respect for those around me. It is also a chance to pause and reflect on how far I have come – from the very start to my current position of responsibility.
Behind every success, I recognise a team of people who trust and support me, helping us push the boundaries of what is possible. The award is not just a personal joy, but also a commitment to continue offering strong leadership, supporting innovation, and fostering an environment that impacts Czech MedTech and the entire healthcare sector.
I believe I can inspire others by demonstrating that leadership does not need to be harsh to be effective. A blend of expertise, empathy, courage, and decisiveness forms a leadership style that is sustainable and naturally enduring.
My journey began at the very bottom, in a technical, predominantly male environment. This experience taught me that even when you doubt yourself or feel afraid, you can achieve more than you ever imagined – by working with people, building trust, and never giving up.
I also believe strongly in the power of communities, sharing, and education. I actively support leadership development, mentoring, and creating environments where women can grow more quickly and with greater confidence. I aim to demonstrate that entrepreneurship is not just about performance, but also about values, innovation, and the courage to improve the world around us.
