The village of Pavlov, located at the eastern foot of the highest peak of Pálava, Děvín (550 m above sea level), is famous for its wine, monuments and archaeology. Pavlov lies in the region of the Pálava protected landscape area and in the immediate vicinity of the third Novomlýnská reservoir.
Probably the most famous local monument rises above the village – the ruins of Děvičky castle. Pavlov also has made its mark in archaeology textbooks. Very rich archaeological sites have been discovered there, documenting its settlement since the time of mammoth hunters. Recently, Pavlov has also been known for its local countryside and water recreation activities.
You can also see for yourself that the local wine-growing tradition is still very much alive in the local wine shop, which was recently opened in the municipal office building.
