We Are Equipped To Manage Any Opportunity in The Czech and Slovak Markets

The construction market in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is continuously developing, presenting unique opportunities for construction companies familiar with the local environment and capable of delivering high-quality work. Among the key players is ADIFEX CZ s.r.o., and we discussed this topic with its executive director, Kristian Dedič.

The company Adifex is a component of the industrial group you are developing. What is its role in the group and what are your corporate priorities?
Our firm, Adifex, is a modern and stable construction company active in the Czech and Slovak markets. As a general contractor, we offer a full range of services in construction and associated activities. Our goal is to maintain high-quality workmanship by employing modern technologies and conserving natural resources. Additionally, within our group, we have holdings in the mechanical engineering, energy, and rolling stock industries. This structure is logical to us. The group’s focus lies on being comprehensive, flexible, fast, and dependable in the construction and heavy industry sectors.

Since its inception in 2012, initially as a limited liability company and then as a joint stock company from 2015 due to significant growth in activities, our company has been active in the construction market. This growth continued robustly around the turn of 2020/2021, when our market presence was bolstered by merging with VHS-PS Ltd., a company noted for leading major development projects that have shaped modern Bratislava architecture. Presently, Adifex, a. s., holds a prominent role across all sectors of construction, encompassing civil, industrial, engineering, and water construction, as well as complex engineering activities. Our credentials as a modern, stable, professional, and socially responsible company are further reinforced by our participation in the European Union’s international initiative under the Environmental Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS).

Given your involvement in the construction markets of both the Czech Republic and Slovakia, does this connection matter to your customers?
By being active in both the Czech and Slovak construction sectors, we have access to a broader, skilled workforce with expertise from both countries. This enhances the quality of our services and elevates the projects we undertake for our customers.

In Slovakia, our offices are located in Bratislava and Žilina, and we manage projects throughout the country. Some key projects in the capital city of Bratislava that I would like to highlight include EUROVEA, THE MILL, SKY PARK, VGP Park – which consists of a warehouse and production halls – and Bratislava Castle.

You have been involved in the construction of significant architectural structures as well as industrial hall projects. How are you able to handle such a diverse portfolio of projects?
We can deliver a wide range of building projects thanks to our extensive experience, teams of skilled specialists, and robust financial foundation. These factors enable us to drive progress and transform our countries with advanced construction techniques. We take pleasure in our work. As part of the entire ADIFEX (a.s. + CZ) group, we are equipped to tackle any construction challenge. We consider our employees to be our most valuable asset, and we aim to foster a stimulating and rewarding work environment where skilled individuals can grow and utilise their potential to fulfil both their personal and the company’s objectives.

We currently have over 130 employees and also provide employment for dozens of other workers, including tradespeople and subcontractors. We are continually in search of highly skilled, dedicated, and proactive individuals to join our team. In return, we offer the chance to enhance their skills through involvement in major construction projects across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Today, making building construction and operations more environmentally friendly is essential. How do you implement environmental standards?
As part of our commitment to making construction more sustainable, our company participates in the Emas scheme, an international initiative by the European Union designed to enhance environmental practices. This voluntary tool assists organisations in assessing, managing, and improving their environmental performance.

As market and customer expectations for environmental responsibility grow, we recognise the benefits of minimising the negative environmental impacts of our operations. Excellent environmental performance is now a competitive advantage, while poor performance can be a disadvantage. In response to the increasing complexity and number of environmental challenges, we are seeking innovative management strategies. The EMAS scheme provides a systematic approach to addressing these issues effectively. Our corporate governance is focused on ensuring that we comply with environmental laws, and this compliance is independently verified.

Thank you for the interview.
